How we work
What You Get When We Size It Up

A price built from what we saw
Panel space, cable route and wall construction are all checked at the estimate, so the written price reflects the real job.
Faults chased with test gear
We measure until the failing part is found, so you are not paying for replacements that were never needed.
Capacity you actually need
If the existing service can handle your plans, you hear that, and the job stays smaller.
Clean rooms, labelled panel
Floors protected, dust gone, breakers named and a quick tour of the finished work before we leave.
Step by step
From Phone Call to Finished Work
Free estimate at the house
We look at the panel, trace the route and check the walls, then talk you through what we found.
A written price
The job is broken into its parts with a price for each, and work waits for your go-ahead.
Work, inspection, handover
We turn up on the day we promised, pass any inspection the permit calls for and leave the panel labels current.
Service area
On the Island and Across the Bridges
Most of our work is on Mercer Island itself, from the north end to the south end, with regular jobs in Bellevue, Seattle, Renton, Newcastle and Issaquah. Waterfront and hillside homes often have long runs from the panel to a garage or dock, so every estimate includes measuring the route.

FAQ
Common Questions
Do you charge to come and give an estimate?
Nothing. Coming out to size up the job is free, there is no obligation, and the written figures stay with you either way.
How much is a typical panel upgrade?
Three things drive it: the panel size you need, whether the meter base or service cable must be replaced, and how many circuits get moved across. Once we have looked, you get the number split into parts and labor.
An outlet is scorched. What should I do?
Kill that circuit at its breaker (if you cannot tell which, shut off the main) and do not touch the outlet. Call us and we will prioritize it on our next working day slot. Seeing smoke or flame? Leave the house and dial 911 before anything else.
Can you power a charger in a separate garage?
Usually, yes. We take a feeder out to the garage, buried or fixed along the building, and end it in either a charger outlet or a compact subpanel. The length of that run and your spare panel capacity set the cost.
Will my house need a 200 amp service?
Not necessarily. We total up what you run now and what you plan to add and compare it with your current service. If there is room, there is no reason to upgrade.
Why does a breaker keep tripping?
Most often the circuit is overloaded. Sometimes it is a worn breaker or a loose connection heating up. We test to tell which before recommending anything.
